We won't see the success of the global Ford Focus until the 2012 Focus. Before the new model, the American and Euro Focus were completely different. Only thing they shared was the name.
But prior to that the Mk1 was the same in both the U.S. & Europe.

On a personal and professional level, yes. However, if it is there, I should be able to make an app detailing how to escape they hatred and hypocrisy of mainstream religion. I mean seriously, if I made an app detailing the opressions, explotations, misogyny, abuses and general hatred of organized religion and how to live your life without it, it would never get approved. This is also interesting considering Apple is one of the more gay friendly companies around.

Apart from the obvious (sandy bridge and thunderbolt) what I would like to see is an SSD solution like in the MBA, say about 64GB is probably enough to store the OS and applications, with a 1TB HDD as the base configuration.
That would give the speed boost to the OS and app launching and operations, without the space problems of a bolt-in SSD, and would leave the cheap, easily upgradable storage for.....storage.

The most obvious reason behind the name MacBook Air for me is the removal of the wired Ethernet connector to the MacBook. There is two thing that prevent from making a very slim notebook: an optical drive and an ethernet connector (look at the ethernet connector on a MacBook, it take most of the height of the notebook).
So the MacBook Air would be the first Apple notebook having only a wireless connection...
And I agree that it will be made of aluminium...

All aside, we should start a thread where people can boast if their Mac product speculations were correct or admit they were flat out wrong.

I love how "gays" freak out when non-homosexual people do something. But yet when "gays" want to do something extreme it's because we don't accept them, so when they get in trouble it's a huge ordeal.
To me this is like the people that don't support war. If a veteran was killed in action and a funeral is happening they can picket the funeral all day long (talk about bull ****!) My dream mini has a HD-DVD player, HDMI/DVI out, optical audio out (mainly important for those that want to connect to a surround sound receiver) and add some Netflix-like movie download subscription service added to iTunes. Put those together with space for a 3.5" hard drive and run Front Row 2.0 and I'd be psyched.
I really want the Mac Mini to be a basic TV hub device. It doesn't have to have a DVR, cable card slots or TV tuners built-in. Sure, if Apple could build an all-in-one box that's better than my HR10-250 (HD Tivo for DirecTV) or the upcoming Series 3 from Tivo that would be great. But for now I'd be happy with one box for TV watching (HR10-250) and one box for everything else (DVDs, music, movie downloading, casual web surfing).

Im jealous, im regretting not getting a Subaru Legacy. I got a 2010 Ford Fusion, should have got the legacy for the good looks and the AWD.
I got a Fusion last year too, and if the Legacy was sold over here I would have had a tough choice! I would have ended up with the Legacy though for the looks. AWD is useless here, so really not a reason to get it. :o

To the BMW guys, how reliable is the E46 325i?
I have a chance to pick one up for a fairly low cost (Less than $6,000 canadian). It is pretty much mint and VERY well maintained.
Car has a bit higher miles (~125,000 miles/ 205,000km), but I am guessing well maintained they will last quite a while?
I really enjoyed my brothers E36, and I just got rid of my project cars so I figure this would be a nice change.
My brothers/dads old E46 330xi has been giving him trouble with 150,000 miles on it. Things do wear out, but it seems like every time I hear about the car, it is broken.

I think what I said about software developers catching up has merit.
It's not just the pro applications themselves that need to catch up to
take advantage of multi-core architecture, but also all those very important
plug-ins.
This especially holds true in audio recording software with some critical plug-in developers still struggling to catch up to universal binary versions of their software.

I find it frustrating that Firemint continues to hype this game and talk innovation when the game does not even work as advertised today, supporting both original and second iPad's. Crash and burn. How about a news release on the improvements they will be making to stop the crashing rather than this pathetic self promoting fallacy.

AFA game consoles, Apple crashed and burned with their last console. If they do anything, it'll be only on their mobile devices and not bother competing with MS/Sony/Nintendo on the console front.
